Every once in a while, you attend a tech meetup that takes you on a journey. At the Design and Code tech meetup JD Graffam, CEO of the web design agency Simple Focus, led an incredible conversation about designing websites for people. Here are some takeaways:

🔖 It's important to understand the industry in which the digital site you are designing will operate.  It can't just be pretty but also deliver timely and meaningful value to the customer.
🔖 Engage with the customer to gain a clear understanding of their needs. Specifically, identify the target audience and develop personas that can be used throughout the business model.
🔖 Competitive analysis/research is important because you want to avoid reinventing the wheel.
🔖 I loved the conversation about color exploration and mood boards for feedback.
🔖 Mr. Graffam explained low and high-fidelity mockups.

Mr. Graffam ended the presentation with a few tips for aspiring tech professionals:
